If you searched for the Endurance Elite warranty, you may have expected a top-tier repair plan. It is something different, and that matters before you compare prices.
Short answer: the Endurance Elite warranty is not a separate warranty. Elite Benefits is a membership of extra perks, such as tire, key fob and windshield help. Endurance says it comes free for one year with a vehicle service contract. Your repairs are covered by the plan you buy, such as Secure Plus or Supreme, not by Elite Benefits.
What Endurance Elite Benefits include
These are the limits on Endurance’s own FAQ. Your membership contract controls, so check it before you count on any benefit.
| Benefit | Listed limit | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Tire repair or replacement | Up to four tires, up to $150 per occurrence | For road hazard damage |
| Key or key fob replacement | Up to $500 | Applies after a loss |
| Windshield repair | Up to $500 | For common road hazards |
| Collision repair discount | Up to $500 per incident | Endurance says this is not insurance |
Cars.com also lists up to $1,000 in total loss help. Other reviews describe slightly different lists, which suggests the package has changed over time. Treat outside summaries as a starting point, not as your terms.
What the Endurance Elite warranty does not cover
Elite Benefits will not pay for an engine, transmission or air conditioning repair. That job belongs to your service contract. It also does not replace auto insurance, even though it includes a collision discount. If you want to know what insurance does instead, read extended warranty vs car insurance.
Some benefits are not part of Elite at all. Endurance lists 24/7 roadside assistance as a standard benefit, with one service per 72 hours. It also lists trip interruption of up to $150 a day for three days after a covered breakdown more than 100 miles from home. Its rental car answers are not consistent, so confirm that one in your contract. Our guide to rental car and towing coverage shows what to look for.
How much does Endurance Elite cost?
Endurance advertises the first year as free with a service contract and calls the package “a $2,000 value.” It does not state a renewal price on its FAQ page. Outside sources differ on the fee:
- Cars.com says it is free for the first year, then available for a small annual fee.
- ConsumerAffairs mentions 12 months of benefits for a one-time $29 fee.
- Automoblog says you can buy it after the free year, but gives no price.
So ask for the renewal cost in writing. Also ask whether renewal is automatic, because the FAQ does not address it.
What you pay for the warranty itself
The real cost is the service contract. Cars.com collected quotes on October 15, 2026, for a 30-month contract on 2022 models with 60,000 miles:
| Plan | Starting monthly price |
|---|---|
| Secure Plus | $156 |
| Superior | $159 |
| Supreme | $160 |
| Overall range | $156 to $250 |
| Total over 30 months | $4,690.50 to $7,524 |
Those plans also carry an activation fee and a down payment, according to Cars.com. It reports deductibles from $0 to $200 and a waiting period of 30 days and 1,000 miles. Your car will price differently, so get your own quote. For a wider view, see how much an extended warranty costs in 2026.
Is Endurance Elite worth it?
In the free year, it is a useful extra. It should not be the reason you buy the contract, though. A worked example shows why.
Say you lose a key fob ($300) and replace two tires after a pothole ($200 each) in the same year. If each tire counts as a separate occurrence and the full amounts qualify, you could claim $300 for the fob and $150 per tire. That is $600 back. Compare that with one covered transmission repair, which can decide the whole value of the contract. These repair prices are examples, not quotes.
Before you renew, ask yourself three things:
- Do you already have road hazard tire coverage?
- Does your insurance cover glass?
- Would the renewal fee pay for itself with one tire or key claim?
How to check Endurance before you sign
Cars.com lists Endurance as BBB accredited with an A rating as of its October 2026 review. Ratings change, so read the current profile and recent complaints on BBB.org. The FTC’s guide to service contracts explains what to ask about the seller and the contract. Endurance also says it does not sell its service contracts in Massachusetts, and that California customers get Mechanical Breakdown Insurance from an insurer. If you are unsure about a seller, your state insurance department can help.
